When the earth was still flat,

　人間の強さと不敵さに

And Zeus (*2) said, "No,
　そしたらゼウス(*2)が言葉を継いで

Use my lightening, like scissors,
　この雷（いかづち）をハサミに使って
Like I cut the legs off the whales
　クジラの足をちょん切ったときみたいに
And dinosaurs into lizards."

Then he grabbed up some bolts
　それからおもむろに稲妻をつかみあげ

And he let out a laugh,
　一回、ガハハと笑ってから
Said, "I'll split them right down the middle.
　いわく「おれがやつらをまっぷたつにしてやろう
Gonna cut them right up in half."
　上から下に引き裂いて半分にしてやろう」
And then storm clouds gathered above
　そしたら頭上で嵐の雲がもくもくと
Into great balls of fire
　集まりやがて大きな火の玉


And then fire shot down
　そこから炎が稲妻になって
From the sky in bolts
　真っ逆さまに落ちてきた
Like shining blades
　光はじけるナイフの
Of a knife.

And it ripped
　それが切り裂く
Right through the flesh
　一直線の肉体
Of the children of the sun
　太陽の子ら
And the moon
　月の子供ら

And some Indian god
　そこにインドの神まで現れて

Sewed the wound up into a hole,
　傷口を縫って寄せて穴にして
Pulled it round to our belly

大好きな映画の一つ

いつだって愛はただひとつだけと強く思わせるし、運命のひとは必ずいるし、それは深くて切ないのだとかんじることのできるいい映画だ。

うまくいかない、受け入れてもらえない、受け入れられない真実。いやになってしまうけど、それでもたった一つだけを求めて、私たちはさまよいたいのだと思う。

この映画サントラもいいよ。

偶然居合わせてつながることが多すぎてびっくり。

初めて行ったお祭りで偶然会ったり（西馬音内盆踊りで渋谷さんと写真家の浅田政志さんと）

髪を切ってもらうことがあるひとの後輩とよく行くお店の貸し切りタイムにつながったり（たまに行くイタリアンバールで）

大好きだった片思いの君の親友だと言うことが分かって出会っていたり（いつも行く大好きな和食屋さんでいつも接客してくれる感じのいい店員さん）

うわーなんだこれなんだなんだーみたいなね！
